1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and provide basic analytics information to site operators.
Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags. Where this Cookie Policy refers to "cookies", it covers all such tracking and storage technologies unless otherwise specified.
2. Our Approach to Cookies
DomainRisk.io uses a minimal cookie footprint. We deploy strictly necessary cookies for platform security and session management, and an optional analytics tool (Google Analytics) only when you explicitly accept optional cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or ad-targeting trackers.
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential to provide the Service. They do not require your consent under applicable law (ePrivacy Directive, GDPR) because they are indispensable for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features.

4. Third-Party Cookies: Stripe
When you initiate a payment or visit our checkout flow, you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted payment page. Stripe may set its own cookies on that page to facilitate secure payment processing, fraud prevention, and compliance with financial regulations. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
DomainRisk.io does not control Stripe's cookies and does not receive any data from them beyond the payment outcome (success or failure) and billing metadata. No Stripe cookies are set on non-checkout pages.
5. Analytics & Advertising Cookies
DomainRisk.io may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and product usage patterns, but only if you accept optional cookies via the consent banner.
If you reject optional cookies, analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set by DomainRisk.io pages.
We do not use Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or ad-targeting trackers.
6. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, DomainRisk.io uses the browser's localStorage API for the following limited purposes:
cookie_consent - a mirror of the consent cookie used to determine whether to display the consent banner on the client side before a full page response.
User interface preferences (e.g., collapsed sidebar state) - stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
localStorage data is stored on your device and persists until cleared. It is not accessible by other websites (same-origin policy enforced by your browser).
7. Managing & Withdrawing Cookie Consent
When you first visit DomainRisk.io, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You may accept or decline non-essential cookies at that point. Declining non-essential cookies disables optional analytics tracking.
You may withdraw or change your cookie preferences at any time using the button below. This will clear your stored consent and reload the page to display the consent banner again.
8. Browser-Level Cookie Controls
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies at any time. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (such as your session cookie) will prevent you from logging in and using the authenticated features of the Service.

9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable legal requirements. Material updates will be communicated via the cookie consent banner or a notice on the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
